Description

This beautiful soft as a cloud organic merino wool has been described as "buttery" by the most experienced of spinners and knitters.

This is for a 50gram gram - it is also available in 250 gram bags.  For quantities over one kilogram please contact us directly.

It is organically grown by Susan and John Elliott at their magnificient Lammermoor Station in the Otago region of New Zealand https://lammermoordistillery.com/pages/lammermoor-station

With its fine fibre diameter (18.5 micron) and high bulk it is perfect for next to skin knitting - and by hand spinning it you can choose exactly what weight of yarn you would like. From superfine lace weight to plying several strands for aran or chunky knitting.  This is the same wool as the 10 Ply Merino Knitting Yarn under the Wool for Knitting Section.

Your special project will keep you toasty warm and bounce back to shape time and time again.

This is a premium wool not previously available in hand spinning rovings and is hand wash only.

This wool is also ideal for putting between your toes in tramping boots
