Cast on 50 stitches on 6 mm needles and each ball will give you a 32 cm (12.5 inch) square in stocking stitch. So a four square by six square blanket will measure 128 cm (50 inches) by 192 cm (75 inches). Knit in four strips to save on sewing up.
Or have some fun and try out different stitches - perfect for trying cables. Square size will vary on stitch chosen.
Just two balls a month and that's a whole super cuddly heirloom blanket finished by this time next year .... but somehow we think you'll be finished a lot sooner than that.
